Y6 Drop Everything for Book Week

As part of the on-going celebrations for World Book Day, the children at Royal Hill are spending an entire week celebrating reading.
Part of these exciting celebrations is DEAR (Drop Everything And Read). At the signal of a bell at any random time of the day, the children stop whatever they are doing and enjoy 15 glorious minutes submerged in their favourite (or current) book.

"I love DEAR, it means I can read ahead in my Book Club book!" -Scarlett

"I anticipate that I might complete an entire book this week in DEAR time alone!" -Marc

Stay tuned for my photos and news from World Book Day and the other celebrations this week!
